Menard Safety Courses has been educating the general public on safety in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario area since 1995. Their goal is to provide a reliable & professional service in both official languages in Health & Safety to individuals, companies & organizations. Their business gives back to the community by supporting local high schools with scholarships.
Denis F. Ménard
A retired paramedic, Denis has been instructing CPR, First Aid, WHMIS, Working at Heights & Chainsaw Awareness training since 1995.
He is the organization’s Master Bilingual Instructor. With his Advanced Medical First Responder qualifications, he provides a First Aid Station at local events and festivals. Denis has been volunteering his time to the Embrun Community Watch Program for over 20 years.
Elaine B. Ménard
Co-Owner, Safety Facilitator, Administrator
Since 1996, Elaine has been facilitating the Babysitting, Home Alone, Safety, Street Proofing and First Aid Workshops for children. She is a partner with Parachute.
She is known to be an Educational Partner with many local schools and recreational centres. With her highly developed administration skills, Elaine ensures quality bilingual training workshops.
Linda A. Inglis
Safety Facilitator, Program Designer
Since 2006, Linda has been facilitating the Babysitting, Home Alone, Safety, Street Proofing and First Aid Workshops for children. With her highly developed designer and organizational skills, Linda provides bilingual, educational, fun and interactive workshops for children.
Recently retired after 29 years of teaching and still passionate, Martine offers workshops on "The impact of social media on teens and tweens."
With a master's degree in Educational Psychology, Martine allows young people to express themselves on topics that particularly affect them, while giving them safety tips.
Danika Blanchard, a registered nurse since 2017, began her career with the Medical Surgery Team at the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital. She then joined the team of nurses at the Dr. Beaupré Vein Clinic. Having always had a passion for teaching, she obtained her certification as a CPR & First Aid instructor from the Canadian Red Cross in 2018. Helping and educating others are two characteristics of health and teaching, an excellent combination that Danika is passionate about.
